Are all the physicians Board certified?
YES – all our physicians are Board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and are members of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

At what hospital do the physicians have privileges?
Our physicians see patients at Prince William Hospital in Manassas.

How are appointments scheduled?
Routine well child appointments are scheduled 1-2 months in advance and are especially in high demand in the spring and summer months. Please plan accordingly if a physical is needed for school, camp or sports participation. Usually we are able to schedule a child for a same-day appointment when they are sick. Please make every effort to be on time for appointments; we will also try to see you for your appointment promptly. We may need to reschedule an appointment if you are more than 15 minutes late.

What if I must cancel an appointment?
If you must cancel an appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. There will be a fee charged for missed well and issues appointments that are not canceled with 24 hours notice.

Can I ask for advice over the phone?
Established patients are welcome to call our office during regular hours to talk with a nurse about questions you may have about breastfeeding, teething, treatment of minor ailments, etc. Messages left for our nurses will generally be answered within an hour.

What if I have an emergency after-hours?
If your child is having a true medical emergency, call 911 immediately or proceed to the nearest emergency room. If you have a concern that cannot wait until the office re-opens, then you may phone our answering service at 703-257-3903 and the doctor on-call will be paged. One of our physicians will usually return your call within an hour or less.

How can I request a prescription refill?
Please call for prescription refills during regular office hours. Generally prescriptions will be phoned or faxed in to your pharmacy by the end of the day. We may request that you make an appointment to see the doctor before refilling some prescriptions.

Can I make an appointment if my child is having trouble in school or having behavioral problems?
Our staff can schedule longer appointment times if you need to consult with our physicians about a variety of problems ranging from attention issues, constipation, toilet training, school problems or other concerns you may have. We encourage you to send any reports from teachers that may be helpful to us before the appointment if possible. If your child has not had a well child exam in over a year, the physician may prefer to schedule one first and may be able to address your concerns as part of the well child visit.

How do I get forms completed for school or camp?
In most cases our physicians will complete and sign forms during the well child visit so please remember to bring them with you. This includes forms for administration of medication at school. We do have the state form for school entry in our office. There will be an administrative fee charged for forms that are requested at a time other than a scheduled appointment.
